2017 – CCI Adds New Building Addition, Sustains Growth

CCI has continued to experience immense growth in 2017. We are blessed to have outstanding employees and tremendous customers fueling that growth. And to prove the growth we’ve experienced in 2017…check out the before and after pictures from our Winder Hwy location. These first pictures were taken of our building in 1989. Circle back to present day, a 7,500 square foot custom work shop has been added to the rear of the property with more office renovations in-progress. Check back later to see photos of the new conference room space, expanded break room, and refurbished “big room.” Thank you again to the wonderful employees at CCI who put the hard work in to make it all possible.

Ladies’ Night Out!

As a thank you for their hard work and dedication, the ladies of R. A. Heath and CCI were treated to an evening away from the office.  The outing included painting, hula hoops, 70’s music, and wine & cheese.  Our gracious hostess, Bunni, at Masterpiece Mixers led a fun and relaxing class.  Everyone had a great time and got to bring home self-made works of art!

FBHS Color Race for Grace

Many employees participated in the Color Race for Grace on Saturday. It was coordinated by the local Flowery Branch High School Peer Leadership group and parent company R. A. Heath Construction was one of many proud sponsors. Several employees placed in their divisions – congratulations! The weather more than cooperated, it was sunny with mild temperatures, perfect for being active outside. As much as the students enjoyed throwing colors on the racers, it is still worth giving them a kudos for all their hard work to put on a successful event raising money and awareness for a cause they feel passionate about!

CCI Operations Manager’s Weekend “Job” Reaches New Heights

Recently, our very own Operations Manager received a special distinction in his “part-time” job in the United States Air Force Reserves. On 8 January 2017, Major McConnell accepted Command of the 94th Maintenance Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Marietta, GA. He has been proudly serving on both active and reserve duty since 2007 and was reassigned to Dobbins after an assignment at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina where he was an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. He takes Command of a unit with over 150 maintenance personnel and the responsibility of maintaining the assigned C-130H aircraft. We are so proud of his accomplishment as he serves both our company and this great nation!

CCI was recognized for a second straight year for exceeding 2015 solid surface sales goals.  Due to CCI’s increased demand and production of solid surfaces, CH Briggs a distributor of DuPont Corian, presented the “AdvantEdge  Fabricator Award” for the second year in-a-row.  CCI is tremendously proud of the solid surface department for their dedication to quality production and their hard work in making this recognition possible.

CCI’s Annual Meeting & Chili Cook-off

CCI’s President Ron A. Heath kicked off the annual company meeting with a bang by announcing the winners of that day’s chili cook-off.  Mark from CCI’s custom department took home first prize while beating out 11 other tasty entries.  This annual pot-luck tradition was just the beginning of a fun afternoon which featured a status update of the company’s 2015 performance and look into the future.  CCI’s growth can be seen in the number of chili entries as a record 12 crock pots were positioned for the competition.  CCI is poised for another successful year in 2016 and Mark will be looking over his shoulder next year for the  top prize!  The top vote recipients are listed below along with some great photos of the event.

Another CCI Custom Creation

Utilizing left over material is a manager’s dream!  Utilizing that material to create a one-of-a kind furniture piece is what makes CCI’s craftsmen truly unique.  After a project that included multiple walnut slabs, CCI craftsman Steve Sidars was able to turn his leftover material into a custom End Grain Butcher Block Countertop.  Steve’s attention to detail and custom features including soft-close drawer slides, hand carved wooden drawer pull, and the distinctive end grain pattern make this piece stand out.  Check out the pictures below and see for yourself!

Overwhelming Participation in Salvation Army Angel Tree Program

CCI’s employees generously donated their time and resources towards supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program for the second straight year.  Combined with the past 6 years under its parent company, R.A. Heath Construction, both companies have donated enough toys and clothing to ensure hundreds of children enjoy a Merry Christmas.  This year CCI employees sponsored 32 children with this number doubling as a result of a matching donation by company owners Ron & Wendy Heath.  For more information on the Angel Tree Program, please visit

CCI Sponsors Team ASPCA Runners

CCI Sponsored Team ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Runners at Disney’s Wine & Dine Half Marathon November 7, 2015.  The following is a note sent to the Team Members:

Dear Team ASPCA Members,

On behalf of the ASPCA, and all of the animals we serve, thank you for participating as a Team ASPCA member in the 2015 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Your hard work and dedication will allow the ASPCA to continue to fund our mission, which is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States. In addition to the essential funding raised, as a team you also raised awareness of the ASPCA and paved the way for future Team ASPCA members.

Together you have raised nearly $37,000 to help the animals in our care. The ASPCA is proud to have you all as ASPCA ambassadors and we hope you will all continue to be the voice of those who cannot speak for themselves.
